Thank you for your interest in Clitheroe Royal Grammar School.  We hope that our website and sixth form guide will assist you in making a positive decision to join our vibrant Sixth Form.

We are very proud of our Sixth Form which is housed in its own centre at York Street.  Clitheroe Royal Grammar School is based on firm values and traditions and provides, not only outstanding academic opportunities, but also an environment where each student can further develop essential life skills.  Clitheroe Royal Grammar School has recently been awarded Specialist School Status as a Language College.  We feel that this will have a tremendous impact on the school and further enhance opportunities for our students.

We have an extensive guidance programme and students are supported by subject tutors, form tutors and a personal tutor.  We provide opportunities, not only for academic excellence, but also for sport, music, expeditions, foreign travel, cultural visits, work experience and much more. Last year two-thirds of our Lower Sixth joined Clitheroe Royal Grammar School from other schools.  For everyone it is a new start and an opportunity to excel in this caring community.  Students quickly settle in and receive excellent preparation for the rigours and demands of A Level courses.
