The CRGS Food Bank Collection

Over the past few weeks, the Christian Union and Charity Committee in school have been asking for donations to the local food bank, via a rather large brown box in the main entrance. We are happy to report that this was extremely successful and we managed to fill almost three boxes full of food. We were almost struggling to fit it all in Reverend Froud’s car!

Since it is nearly Christmas, we have collected a range of foods to help make up the Christmas parcels, including mince pies, tubs of sweets and Christmas pudding. All of the food we collected will be going to local people in the Ribble Valley who need support at this time of year.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated something to helpĀ others. A reminder that we finished taking donations at school on 1st December, but you can still donate to the food bank at other places.
