On Sunday 20th May our equestrian team took part in an NSEA one day event in Northallerton.
The competition consists of dressage, show jumping and cross country. We had a team of three competitors, Elizabeth Warburton, Hannah Bettess and Charlotte Mellin.
Coming out of the first round, two of our team members were in leading positions. Unfortunately Lizzie and Charlotte both knocked a pole in the show jumping round, but Hannah had a clear round. Charlotte and Lizzie both had clear cross country and Hannah sadly had to retire her horse whilst out across country.
At the end of the day our team was unlucky, just missing out on qualifying, however Lizzie came home with 3rd place and Charlotte with 4th in a very competitive section.
We are looking forward to even more successful competitions to come.
