Easter Bake Off Extravaganza

On Tuesday 20th March, we held our annual inter-house Easter Bake Off competition, where students were asked to bake anything of their choice with an Easter-based theme. There was a wide variety of entries including spring chicken-inspired cakes, colourful decorative cupcakes, Easter-themed cheesecakes and an awe-inspiring gravity cake. We were delighted to see the immense effort students had put into their baking and very much enjoyed tasting the cakes.

The entries were judged by staff in the Main School throughout the day and the competition proved to be a great success. We had some outstanding entries and are proud of all the students who took part in the competition this year. Well done!

Isabella Frankish in Year 7 reports on her baking experience:

“I entered the school Easter Bake Off to have fun baking. It was a great way to show everyone what I was capable of and I really enjoyed it. When I made my cake I wanted to challenge myself by making it on my own. I melted chocolate and formed it into the shape of ears. That was the hardest part! I would encourage everyone to have a go, especially the new Year 7 students. I am glad I did it in my first year as it has improved my confidence.”
