Year 12 Careers Morning

On Tuesday 17 January, the Sixth Form was delighted to welcome guest speakers representing a wide range of fields of employment to our Year 12 Careers Morning.  Students were able to choose 2 from 24 talks during the morning.

It was very positive to see a number of former students and parents and governors involved, talking about the nature of their work, entry requirements, key skills and progression routes.  The sessions provided much food for thought for our students as they plan for their Work Experience taking place in the final week of this academic year.  The morning also helped students prepare for the UCAS Careers and Higher Education convention which they are to attend on Tuesday 14 March 2017 in Manchester.

A big thank you to all our guest speakers, some of whom were here for the first time and some who have long-standing links with the school including student work placements and full-time employment. We are very grateful to everybody for giving up their time to share their knowledge and expertise with our students.
